maybe a couple of riffs from a synth patch or even playing some simpler piano songs and I'm ok. Ok.I am not a professional keyboard player.

Thanks to my great Sales Engineer, Aaron Tremain who made my shopping experience a pleasure from start to finish, as always! This one is a KEEPER!įrom NJ on JanuMusic Background: Playing music and iin bands for over 49 years. So when you press, say patch 1026, it appears with patches 1026 through, say, 1030 or more. Instead all patches show up in small print along with all other patches. Though the screen is large, so far, I have not seen any way to have each individual patch display in large print, even after saving patches. I experimented a bit and finally found how.
KURZWEIL PC3 PATCHES HOW TO
After spending hours with it I still did not understand how to do a simple save operation.
KURZWEIL PC3 PATCHES MANUAL
The manual is extremely thick and in extreme detail, but that is because this synth does so much. Outputs are CLEARLY marked in white on black behind the unit so it is easy to see. NO plastic! AND it actually has a regular AC cord, not a wall wart! Haven't seen that since the 80's! The strings are extremely rich and full sounding. Second, it is built like a tank! Probably twice the weight (30 lbs) of Yamaha and Roland 61 note synths. I am EXTREMELY pleased to hear the great sounds mainly. I researched it for a few weeks on Youtube videos. I wanted new sounds, something "beefier" in construction, and of course esp.

I have had Yamaha MX synths, and a Roland Fantom, VR-09 synth but sold them both. I just purchased this new synth and have been working with it for a few days. This is a sleeper hit, a Swiss army knife, and a gem.įrom CT on JMusic Background: Band musician The VAST editing/programing is what will set you apart if you have time to learn it. The sounds kick tail, especially the EP's, synths and strings, (you can load K-series and WAV files) and the effects are gold standards for keys/synths. This board sounds freaking outstanding, when I looked up the audio specs for the PC3K and saw stats I liked, then saw/heard comparisons between the PC4/Forte vs PC3K- it almost felt like the PC3K went for the knockout in audio quality (those converters) AND it has the SPDIF in/out. I have been reluctant of purchasing anything from Kurzweil for years, because I didn't want a watered down, recycled rerun of the K-series- so I dismissed the PC3 series. I missed sounding different and I missed the AD/DA converters Kurz used in their top workstations in the past. While I do love my VST's, let's face it- many people have all the major players. I still own a K2500RS with KDFX, but I just can't fight with SCSI anymore. Like other K-series owners, I accumulated a huge library of sounds (CD-Roms and stuff I created for myself) over the years. I needed a replacement for my dead K2600S for years.
